Melody Braucht
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
I have a heart to help families, couples, adults, adolescents, and children overcome difficulty and to help them recover from emotional wounds. I specialize in the treatment of trauma, abuse, grief, depression, anxiety, adjustment to life changes, and family communication.
About Me
I have been practicing for over 25 years and use a diverse range of techniques specific to each client's individual needs. Some of the methods used are related to Attachment Theory, Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Relational Therapies, Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness Techniques, Trauma Focused Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, and Evidence Based Practices. I have additional training in nutrition and mental health with an understanding of the role food, vitamins, and minerals can play in both our physical and mental wellbeing. Faith and spiritual beliefs are topics that can often be important to clients; I am open to offer space for faith and spiritual beliefs in the therapeutic process.
On a personal note, my husband and I have been happily married for almost 30 years & we love spending time with our adult son, daughter-in-law, and grandchild. In my off time, you will find me hiking, kayaking, biking, gardening, and spending time with my family. The love for my family fuels my desire to help other families that are struggling or going through difficult times.
